Friends of the
Children's Library The Friends of the Children’s Library (FOTCL) is a volunteer support group that is dedicated to promoting children’s interest in literature, reading and the use of the library. They sponsor and help to coordinate special monthly programs, which include an annual folktelling festival, authors festival, ballets, puppet shows, tree trimming party and silent auction. The Friends of the Children’s Library raises money through several channels such as selling program tickets, t-shirts, and book bags. The group meets the first Friday of each month at 9:15 am in the Central Library. Those interested can become active or supportive members by filling out an application form located in the Central Library Children’s Department. The membership fee is $5.00.
