Book Sale

Support Main Street Branch by donating books to the onsite booksale or online.

General Information

This library served as the main library from 1951 up until April 1975 when the Central Library was finished. The architectural firm of McLellan, MacDonald and Marcwith designed the Main Street Branch. The building encompasses 9034 square feet. At the time it was built it was part of the Civic Center. With a current book collection of 31,000 volumes, this Branch is a pleasant oasis in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach.

Laptime Storytime
18 months to 3 years ~ Wednesday 10:00 am

Ages 3 - 5 years ~ Wednesday 11:00 am

Computer Services

We have a computer lab with 4 computers for public use. One hour per day usage is free to Huntington Beach residents who have a current Library Card. Non-cardholders may use the lab for a fee-based hourly charge.

Booksale

The volunteers at Main Street operate a used book store, which is open the same hours as the library branch.

Donations of books are accepted and most welcome during library hours.

An Annual Book Sale is held in December in the Main Reading Room.

This year's Holiday Book Sale dates are:
